BAY IS THE WAY DAY
RESCHEDULED FOR FRIDAY, APRIL 13TH
High School Juniors and Seniors learn information on attending
Bay College or Higher Education Institution
Bay West is organizing Bay is the Way Day for high school juniors in the surrounding areas to gain important information on the benefits of attending Bay College. However, they will also learn about financial aid, choosing your career path and other items to consider when thinking about attending any college or university.
I HAVE TO DO WHAT?
Laura Moloney will walk students through the ins and outs of apply for any college (not just Bay) including how to apply for financial aid.
GET TO KNOW INSTRUCTORS
Students will get to ask instructors questions in small group settings on the career pathways they are interested in most.
The day will start with a tour of Bay West and will end with a tour of Main Campus in Escanaba in the afternoon - luckily the time change works to our advantage!
TOUR Da BAYS
Students will hear advice, learnings and what to expect their first year in college from current Bay College students.
8:30 – 9:00 AM: Student arrive. Staff greets them and shows them to room 231.
9:00 – 9:45 AM: Welcome
General college information - contacting instructors, tutoring services, buying books, advising, choosing courses, and internship opportunities
9:45 - 10:10 AM Tour of West Campus
10:20 - 11:00 AM Student Panel
11:15 AM (CST) Students depart for Escanaba
Lunch on the bus and a discussion on financial aid led by Laura Moloney
1:20 PM (EST) Arrive and assemble at Main Campus.
1:30 - 2:20 PM (EST) Tour of Main Campus
2:20 - 3:25 PM (EST) - Faculty Sessions
Students will get placed into groups based off of their career pathway. They will get to talk with a faculty member on what their looks like, as well as the classes needed to obtain that degree.
3:25 PM (EST) Board bus and depart by 3:30 PM (EST)

3:35 PM (CST) Arrive back at Bay West
