In recognition of National Student Employee Week, Bay College announces Stephan Ballance as our 2015 Student Employee of the Year.  Stephan works in the Shipping and Receiving Department at Bay College. Stephan demonstrates dependability, initiative, professionalism, and outstanding performance in his daily work. Dr. Coleman presented a plaque of recognition, a certificate, and a gift.

At 7 PM on Earth Day, Wednesday, April 22, 2015 there will be a free showing of the new documentary film Thirsty for Justice.  http://ejcw.org/thirsty/    The film, produced by the Environmental Justice Coalition for Water explores the struggle for the human right to water.  The showing will be at Bay College in room 122 of the Math Science Building.  There will be an iTV link to West Campus room 108.  The 40 minute film will be followed by a discussion.

Bay College’s winter 2015 Math Science Colloquia series wraps up with a free presentation at 4PM on Thursday, April 16 in room MS122 (with iTV link to West Campus room 107).   Dr. Matt Barron, Bay College Dean of Arts and Sciences will present research on predictors of student success, with ample time for discussion of the results.

Bay College will be hosting a Celebration of Student Success on Thursday, April 16.  This four-part event provides students with an opportunity to exhibit their academic achievements through a variety of multimedia expressions.  “I want to invite everyone in the community to come to campus and experience the excitement of student success,” said Kim Carne, Vice President of College Advancement.

Bay College Theatre proudly announces that it will produce Steve Martin’s classic play – Picasso at the Lapin Agile – Thursday through Saturday, April 9-11, at 7:30 every night in the Besse Center Theater on the Delta County campus of Bay College.  This means that the show opens THIS Thursday!

Bay College West announces, In Progress, an exhibit of artworks featuring the work many student artists. The public is invited to the Opening Reception to meet the artists on Tuesday, April 14 in the Lower Commons of Bay College West from 6 PM to 8 PM. There will be live music by pianist, Jan Van Gasse and  refreshments will be served.

LANSING – The annual Phi Theta Kappa Awards Luncheon, honoring the 2015 All-Michigan Academic Team, was held on Tuesday, March 24 at the Radisson Hotel in Lansing. Students were selected based on academic achievement, community service involvement, and leadership accomplishment. The State Academic Teams are a division of the Academic All-American Team for Community, Technical and Junior College Students, an international program sponsored annually by Phi Theta Kappa, USA TODAY and the American Association of Community Colleges.
