Bay College’s winter 2015 Math Science Colloquia series continues with a free presentation at 4PM on Thursday, March 26 in Room MS122 (with iTV link to West Campus room 107).  Dr. Isis Kuczaj  will present a talk titled Tracking the emergence of the deer tick and Lyme disease pathogen: the past, present, and future of tick-borne disease in Michigan.

Students from Bay College/LSSU Escanaba Regional Center’s chapter of Business Professionals of America (BPA) attended the BPA State Leadership Conference and competed in a collegiate competition conducted at Davenport University in Grand Rapids, MI on February 14th, 2015. BPA is a national organization focused on the professional and leadership development of students.

Last year Morgan Delvaux received a Bids for Bay scholarship that was sponsored by Bay College faculty and staff.  Morgan says, “After receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Health Science, I realized that I wanted to have a more “one-on-one” impact with patients and decided to become a registered nurse.

Bay West Life was started in 2009 by a group of interested retirees to promote life-long learning in Dickinson County.  The group recently donated a $1,000 scholarship to assist two Bay College students at West Campus over the age of 50 for Academic Year 2015-2016.
