Bay College and Northern Michigan University signed an articulation agreement allowing Bay students with any Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S) degree to transfer seamlessly into NMU’s Applied Workplace Leadership Bachelor’s Degree program. The agreement allows Bay College students to transfer up to ninety credits to NMU, where they will complete leadership courses and other degree requirements. Under this agreement, students would begin their studies at Bay College for two years and complete their final two years of coursework at NMU.
The Applied Workplace Leadership degree is designed for non-traditional students and returning adult learners with completed associate degrees in any field or with previous college credit. The courses in the program will help develop the skills that employers value in project leaders, team leaders, and managers. The major emphasizes the use of critical thinking, ethical decision-making, goal-oriented communication, observational and quantitative data in decision-making and ways in which diversity can be leveraged for improved workplace climate productivity.
“We are very pleased to offer this articulation to both current and former students,” said Matt Barron, the Vice President of Academic Affairs at Bay College. “This is a great opportunity for local community members to build additional leadership skills as they complete a Bachelor’s degree through NMU.”
