Why Business?
This 2-year Associate in Applied Science in Business degree is perfect for students who wish to explore a wide array of business topics and learn about the many aspects involved in the business world. Students will learn the basic working knowledge of general business theory and practice, discover how the use of current technology is appropriate to business operations, and gain the ability to communicate effectively in an organization. Eligible students can also complete an internship or Co-op to gain real-world experience and see first-hand how businesses in their area operate.
This degree is not intended to transfer to a 4-yr institution (Bachelor’s degree). Those students interested in pursuing a bachelor’s degree should enroll in the Business Administration degree.

There are four business degree options for students take at Bay College. Your instructors will help you develop skills in management, critical thinking, leadership, technological, communication, and other desirable business skills. The range of skills will allow you to prepare for a wide variety of career options, allowing you to choose a business or management career specific to your interests.
The highly experienced business faculty not only provide the knowledge and expertise of their subject matter, but also provide hands-on experiences as they have been employed in these fields. Small classes allow students to receive personalized attention from their instructors. Courses are offered in a variety of formats including traditional, online, and hybrid format using Blackboard, a media-rich learning management system.
