Dual Enrolled/Early College Students

Guest or Visiting Students
Guest or visiting students who are currently enrolled at another post-secondary institution can take classes at Bay College while you are still enrolled at your home institution. These students are also required to complete the Course Verification Form. This form must be signed by an advisor or college official prior to being sent to:

International Students
Students who reside abroad seeking an F-1 or M-1 visa or who are currently studying in the USA on an F-1/M-1 visa are required to provide additional documentation for admission. International student applicants can review the additional admissions requirements by visiting the International Students webpage.

Personal Interest or Auditing Courses Students
Individuals are welcome to take classes for personal interest reasons or you can choose to earn college credit by receiving a grade or to audit the course (you will not receive a grade). These students still need to apply for admission to Bay College.

Sending your transcripts to Bay College is an important step in getting the credit you’ve earned, planning your academic path, and may be a requirement for some financial aid awards.

High School Transcripts
Your high school transcript is helpful when meeting with your advisor, especially if you’ve taken classes that might count towards prerequisites. Additionally, if receiving financial aid or if you’re an athlete, an official high school transcript is required. Official transcripts are signed by a high school official and have the graduation date. Some high schools will send your transcript to Bay on your behalf and some use Parchment. Please check with your high school.

College Transcripts
If you’ve completed courses at another institution, request that an official transcript be sent directly to the Bay College Admissions Office. You can usually do this through your previous school’s website, by contacting their registrar, or often through Parchment.

Been out of high school for more than 10 years? If this is the case, you will not need to provide a high school transcript. However, this may still be required for some financial aid awards. The Financial Aid Office will connect with you at a later date if this is required.

Once you’ve successfully submitted your admissions application, you will receive a confirmation email that your application was received. In addition, you will be able to monitor the status of your application by visiting your application home page.

Complete the Free Application for Federal Aid (FAFSA)
The Free Application for Federal Aid (FAFSA) is an important step in your college-bound journey. The FAFSA is a free application that assesses your eligibility for federal and state grants, federal student loans, and federal work-study opportunities. There is assistance out there that could help you pay for college. Don’t miss out on seeing what you are eligible for.

If you plan to attend Bay College as a Dual Enrolled/Early College, Guest or Visiting, International student, or for personal, auditing and workforce purposes, you do not need to complete the FAFSA.

Submit Placement Test Scores
Though placement scores are not required for admission to Bay, they are important in determining the appropriate level of course placement and will be required if you’re interested in placing into higher level course.

Don’t sweat a placement test! A Bay College Academic Advisor or Success Advisor can help you determine if a placement test is needed or not. If you have supplied a high school transcript, advisors will reference your GPA and/or the year you last attended to indicate initial placement into courses.

Authenticate and Activate Your Bay Norse Account
Once accepted, you’ll receive your login information and next steps via email. Check your inbox for this information. If you do not receive this information or need assistance, contact the IT Help Desk.

Apply for Foundation or Board of Trustees Scholarships
Bay College awards over $650,000 in scholarships each year to 300+ incoming and returning students that meet specified criteria. The scholarship program at Bay College is open to all students who submit the scholarship application. Apply today to maximize your award. 

If you’re graduating high school, your school may offer scholarships as well. Discuss your options with your counselor.

Don’t forget, there are local and outside scholarships out there as well.

Bay College makes it easy to create an academic plan and register for courses. You can Search Courses without logging in or log into your student portal and start scheduling - my.baycollege.edu > Students > Register for Classes.
