Nanci Love teaches in the Arts & Letters division at Bay College. She received her BA in both English and History from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and her Master's Degree in British Literature and Composition from Eastern Michigan University. She also attended University College in Oxford, England for a semester, receiving all Firsts. Previously, she taught at Eastern Michigan, Wayne State, Schoolcraft CC, and the University of South Carolina at Beaufort. Hired at Bay College in 1992, she now teaches, both on campus and online, a variety of literature classes (American Lit, British Lit, World Lit, History of Science Fiction, Shakespeare, and Women's Lit) and writing classes (Rhet & Comp, Research Writing, and Writing Poetry and Fiction), as well as Theater Appreciation and History of Film. For over 30 years, she's run The Bay Film Series and is active locally and statewide in diversity educational issues. For teaching she was awarded an OPIE (Outstanding Person in Education) from the Michigan Education Association in 2007, and won the Outstanding Faculty Award at Bay in 2020.
