Bay College students at the Iron Mountain Campus will benefit from new training equipment thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor. A recent donation funded the purchase of a new muscular anatomy model and hospital beds, providing valuable resources for students preparing for careers in healthcare.

The new equipment will support instruction by giving students the opportunity to practice essential patient-care skills in a classroom setting that mirrors real healthcare environments.

The anatomy model allows students to study human body systems in detail, strengthening their understanding of anatomy and physiology. The addition of hospital beds provides a realistic setting for students to practice patient positioning, mobility assistance, and other fundamental clinical techniques before entering clinical placements.

“These resources help students build confidence while developing the practical skills they will use throughout their healthcare careers,” said Marc Morency, Bay College Math/Science Faculty.

Investments like this help ensure Bay College students have access to modern learning tools that support their success both in the classroom and in the workforce.

“Support from donors make a meaningful difference for our students,” said Vicki DeGrand, Executive Director of Foundation and Alumni Relations at Bay College. “These gifts help us provide high-quality educational experiences that prepare students to serve the healthcare needs of our communities.”
